Zines Are Not a Crime Prairieland Benefit Tote
Bookshelves are not evidence. Zines are not a crime. Yet federal prosecutors have treated both as proof against the protestors arrested at the Prairieland ICE Detention Facility in Alvarado, Texas.

The front of the tote reads “Support The Prairieland Defendants,” “Zines Are Not A Crime,” and “Bookshelves Are Not Evidence.” The artwork is inspired by plants native to the Alvarado area, a nod to the Texas ground where this community stood up and to the roots of the mutual support now surrounding the defendants. The back reads “Community Defense Is Community Care.”
