This zine investigates the relationship using interview material and participant observation to examine the issues and tensions in the UK context. Themes considered include: how punk expresses or engages with veganism/animal rights; the politicising role of punk towards veganism/animal rights; the tension between subcultural expectations and individual choice; and the supposed opposition between 'mere' consumption and 'meaningful' activism.
