Mark Bray on Anarchy On Air

The October 23rd episode, Episode 3 of Season 8 of Anarchy on Air, hosted by Marshall, focuses on anarchist education.  It features an interview with Mark Bray and Rob Haworth, editors of the new book Anarchist Education and the Modern School: A Francisco Ferrer Reader, published by PM Press in 2018.  Francisco Ferrer Guardia was a Catalan anarchist educator and activist.  He was the founder of la Escuela Moderna (the Modern School), an antiauthoritarian grade school.  He was executed in 1909 by the Spanish government for the alleged planning of an insurrection following Spanish imperial intervention in Morocco.  Mark Bray is a historian of Modern European History, a political organizer, and the author of Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook and Translating Anarchy: The Anarchism of Occupy Wall Street. He is currently a Lecturer at Dartmouth College.  Rob Haworth is an associate professor in the Department of Professional and Secondary Education at West Chester University, Pennsylvania. He teaches courses focusing on the social foundations of education and critical action research.  Haworth is the editor of Anarchist Pedagogies: Collective Actions, Theories, and Critical Reflections on Education.
