With 2012 coming to an end, Cease Animal Torture is ready to launch its fourth annual Animal Liberation Forum. Join Cease Animal Torture this November 16-18th for an event you will not want to miss!
The Animal Liberation Forum 2012 is a FREE 3 day conference in Long Beach, CA calling for a total abolitionist movement and animal liberation to action. Topics ranging from animal liberation, interconnections of oppressions, direct action and veganism will be discussed and strategized through speakers, panels, workshops, film screenings, music, and art.
In the spring of 2009, Cease Animal Torture (CAT) launched their first ever Animal Liberation Forum at California State University Long Beach. The forum, which took place in April 2009, was the first conference concerning animal rights in all of CSULB’s 60 year history. Since its launch, Cease Animal Torture has successfully held 3 annual forums and has featured a variety of key-note speakers and organizations from all over the country. Amongst these speakers were Author Marti Kheel, Greg Kelly international activist, Press Officer Dr. Jerry Vlasak MD, Karen Davis from United Poultry Concern, Political Prisoner Kevin Olliff, Food Justice activist Claudia Serrato, Carol Glasser from Human Research Council (HRC), and Lorri Houston founder of Animal Acres. In addition, the Animal Liberation Forum has hosted organizations like veganTHIS, Animal Rescue Media Education (ARME), North American Animal Liberation Press Office (NAALPO), United Poultry Concern, and Stop Animal Exploitation Now!
